Dancing Queen

Isabelle insisting that Mason dance with her. On her birthday. Anytime she puts on these dresses she insists that we turn on the soundtrack to Mama Mia so she can dance.

Isabelle is 3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I cannot believe that Isabelle is 3. It seems like just yesterday that she was born. I still remember.:) All my friends here is Logan all remember when she was born and cannot believe how fast the time goes. We measure are time in Logan by how old Izzy is. Three and a half years, WOW.

Three words that describe Isabelle: Drama, Princess, talkative...okay four hilarious. Drama: She cries at the drop of the hat, and she has the highest most ear wrenching screams on the planet. Any of my family can vouch. Princess: She is the sweetest thing in the world most of the time. She is best "big giant" hugger ever. She loves Mason and calls him Buddies or her brother. We lost Mason at the store a couple months ago and the whole time she just said "Where is my brother?" It was sweet. Also she loves to dress up. Talkative: Isabelle can talk and talk and talk and talk. Most of the time I have no idea what she is talking about, though I can usually understand most of it. She loves to talk on the phone and will whoever all about her surroundings as if they can see what she is talking about. She loves to read. She will sit on the couch next to me, while I am reading, with a book and read out loud. The stories she comes up with our quite entertaining. If you act like you are listening she will stop and get shy so most of the time I just pretend I am not and listen. Hilarious: Izzy has the funniest facial expressions. She almost tops Mason's. She raises her eyebrows and tries to be silly. My favorite is the puppy dog look she gives when she really wants something. She seriously rules this house with her brother second chair.
(Princess Isabelle and her Prince)

For her birthday Grandma and Grandpa Hirschi, Aunt Julie, Aunt Janae, and Soodie came on Friday to spend the night with her. They gave her a Snow White princess dress, a princess backpack pillow and a very cute skirt. We gave her a Cinderella dress and all the accessories to go with it.

We love our Izzy and though she was a surprise we couldn't be more blessed to have a part of our family.

Oh Christmas Tree, Oh Christmas Tree

I am so excited for Christmas. It truly is the most wonderful time of the year. Ever since Robert and I have been married (7 years) we have only had a real christmas tree once. I prefer real, but they can be so expensive. We bought a fake one four years ago and have used it every since. But...................this year I talked Rob into letting me have a real tree. The kids were so excited. We got to go with Grandma and Grandpa Knight and buy their tree with them and the kids went crazy. So when we got home from Thanksgiving we went to Home Depot and bought their first real chirstmas tree. Mason and Izzy went crazy. We got home and put it in the stand and then I had to go to young womens and the kids had to wait till I got home to put the ornaments on. Rob said Mason was taking ornaments out of the box the whole time I was gone. (Don't you love Mason's smile face?:))

It is really funny to watch the kids put on the ornaments. If the kids were the only ones to put the ornaments on they would all be about three feet up and all right next to each other. Some of them are right next to each other, but it gives the tree character. It is so nice to have the smell of pine which is essentially the smell of Christmas in our home this year. Rob has told me over and over that we will always have a real tree and it has really brought the spirit of Christmas to him. I love to sit by the tree at night with the lights on and read and smell the tree. The kids have done a very good job at not touching the tree and breaking ornaments. This year so far we have had no ornament fatalities so far as opposed to last years about 20 fatalities. Hope everyones Holiday Season is warm and full of lots of love.

Mason the Big 04

So Mason is four years old. He is probably one of the smallest four year olds. We weighed him the other day and he weighs 26 pounds with he clothes on. We get asked daily if him and Izzy are twins and have now started to answer yes so thought I don't seem so crazy. They are only 13 months apart to the day.
Mason is the funnest sweetest boy in the world. We tell him all the time that he is the best Mason ever. His new thing lately is acting like a dog and follows Izzy around on his hands and knees. He says some of the most funny things ever. The other day Rob was getting him out of the shower and Mason asked him if he was going to handsome today. We were going to the store and we were at a stoplight and the light had turned green and I get I wasn't fast enough for him and he said "Mom it's green." How he even knows that you go on green is beyond me.
His favorite thing these days is Thomas the train. He can sing the theme song almost word for word. It is definitely a privilage to have him.

Singing and Dancing

So Mason and Izzy love to sing and dance, and I love to take video. The first video is Izzy rolling around to the song "There was 10 in the bed" and the next one is of Mason singing.

I promise Willy I will post more often if for no one else but you. I love you and miss you.

Halloween

We had a very great Haloween. My parents came from Twin Falls to go trick-or-treating with us and it was a blast. Grandma, Grandpa and Soodie (not sure on the spelling) frosted pumpkin cookies with the kids and it was hilarious to listen to. Izzy or Mason would be pouring sprinkles on and then you would hear Grandpa "Whoa Whoa Whoa" because the the amount of sprinkles. Some of them were very sugary. We then went trick or treating later and the kids started out dressed as James and Percy from Thomas the train. They were very cute, but they had a hard time walking in them. Everytime they would have to walk up stairs the train would hit the stairs and they couldn't make it. After about half the neighborhood the trains came off and they were just train conductors. We went home and changed costumes to clowns and went back out and finished the neighborhood. Grandma painted there faces and everything. It was very fun and they got enough candy for all four of us. We all had a great time and Mason and Isabelle still ask if we are going to go trick or treatin everyday. Soon they will move on to when does Santa come.

This is for David

So I know it has been forever since I have updated or posted anything on my blog. I keep getting nagged to do it and I talked to David today via my dad's Skype over the phone and he naggeed again so here it is.

Isabelle

So Isabelle is my good little singer. She just loves to sing "Jesus Wants Me for A Sunbeam" and "Popcorn Popping". She loves to do the actions and everything. Lots of times we will catch her singing in the car or in bed or just playing. We decided that we really needed to get it on video so we got our cool camera out and tried. We love our little singer.

My Mason

My Mason is the sweetest little buddies ever. He has the sweetest temperment. Don't get me wrong there are times when he goes crazy and gets mad, but he is easily subdued. He is so good at playing and entertaining himself. He loves Izzy and always gives the best hugs, and kisses.
The other day I was reading on the couch and the kids were playing and Mason came up to me and was talking to me. I wasn't paying much attention, but when It finally registered what he said I asked him what he said, a little in shock I might add, and he said "You're the best mommy ever." I told him he is the best Mason ever. Now every once in awhile he will come up and say it to me and I give the same reply.

Sometimes, most of the time, I think I am the worst mommy ever. It made me feel like I wasn't doing so bad that day. I didn't even have to coerice it out of him. I really love my Mason. It is a good thing he was first.

Forever since I've posted

It has really been forever since I have posted or since I have checked others blogs. I feel like I have nothing to post or when the kids do something cute, I think I should post that and then just forget. Lately Mason and Isabelle have done the silliest and sweetest things.

Isabelle is a very independent little girl. Lately she has been putting on my socks and shoes. I have a few pair of wool socks that I wear around the house because our tile and house is always freezing. It is hilarious to come out and see her trying to walk around in my shoes.

Mason and Isabelle think it is great fun to play in every single closet in our house. One day I was in the living room watching TV and the kids were in the play room playing. It started to get really quite so I decided they could only be up to no good so I went and checked on them and this is what I saw....

They were both chillin in the closet. Isabelle was reading, of course, and Mason was just chilaxon. I laughed. Oh yeah, notice the maker on the closet door? Yeah both my closet and the closet in this room have sharper all over the backsides. Hopefully before we move I can get it cleaned.

Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's Day everyone. I hope all had a great day. We didn't do to much. I made cookies on Thursday and they are to die for. I made a dozen of them like conversation hearts. Isabelle's was special, it said "Big Giant." When Izzy wants a hug she comes up and says "Big Giant" Then she squeezes as tight as she can. They are my favorite hugs in the world.

Izzy with her cookie not on Valentines day.

I was going to make the kids heart shaped pancakes for breakfast, but Isabelle insisted on having cereal, and since mom could barely get out of bed, I opted to just give her what she wanted. For lunch I made them heart shaped grilled cheese (yummy). Of course they didn't eat much, my kids eat like birds, but they were cute anyways.

I made sure that Isabelle was as cute as could be so I put her hair in curlers for the first part of the day and after that she had the cutest curly hair. We didn't do much that night because finding a babysitter on Valentines day is pretty much impossible and so we just hung out with the kids. We went out to eat on the following Monday with the kids instead.

"Our House"

Well my sister in law Melissa who is on a mission has been begging me to send her pictures of our new house. No we didn't buy a house, but we are renting a house in Logan. We absolutely love it, and compared to what we were living in it is a palace. Before we moved here we lived in student housing it was two small bedrooms and one tiny bathroom. It was total of 750 square feet. Those of you who check my blog and have lived in USU housing you know exactly what I am talking about.

Our Huge Kitchen that actually has countertops.

We now live in a house that has 3 huge bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, 2 car garage (probably the best feature), and a good sized fenced in backyard. We love it very much. There are a few quirks about it that I could live without, but I am so grateful for the extra space.
These two pictures are th views from the front door.

Top is the kids bathroom, the bottom is the spare bedroom or the toy room.

Top: The kids room Bottom: the master bedroom from it's door, You see the sliding glass door leading to the backyard. It is the only way to the backyard from the house. There is a door from the garage door as well.

The master bathroom

Bottom the master bathroom shower. Notice the bar in the shower. This house is handicapp excessible and that is why we have a shower and not tube shower. It is huge and the kids love taking showers in it with all their cars.

The two car garage that is used for one car and a ton of storage.
